Introducing Melba by Leesa Chandler
Leesa Chandler is an Australian fabric designer who is well known for creating fabrics that showcase our beautiful Australian wildflowers. Her first two Australian themed ranges, Under The Australian Sun and Under The Australian Sun 2, included images of flowers and leaves from our iconic Gum trees, Bottlebrush, Kangaroo Paws, Grevillea and Waratahs, among others.
In March this year Leesa introduced her gorgeous new fabric range, Melba, which was inspired by architectural and interior design elements of 1920’s Australia. The striking black and orange colourway is a must-have for your stash, while the grey and pink colourway is softer and reminds us of our Aussie pink and grey Galahs.
Melba features more of our stunning Australian flora including Wattle, Flannel Flower, Geraldton Wax, the Sturt Desert Pea and, of course, more Gumflowers. The range includes border prints, kaleidoscopes, feature panels and small florals so it can be used in a variety of projects from quilting to bags and aprons to cushions and placemats.
We love this range so much that we couldn’t resist stocking some of each colourway. Visit our store to order yours now. We have to warn you though … you won’t be able to stop at just one piece!
